The Fome–Cuf Tracheostomy Tube is made of silicone incorporating an auto-expanding foam cuff, which conforms to the patient’s trachea after insertion.

Pressure is distributed over maximum surface area and ensures the lowest cuff to tracheal wall sealing pressure.

During mechanical ventilation the patented AutoControl™ connectors allow the cuff to inflate and return to resting pressure with each ventilator cycle.

The cuff “breathes” with the patient, ensuring a superior tracheal wall seal without excessive pressure despite high-pressure ventilation.

 A Cuff Maintenance Device (CMD™) a 50 cc syringe with an attached three-way stopcock is used to deflate the cuff for insertion, removal, and maintenance.
